Know About Mr. Satish Kazi
Born in Mumbai on 19th March 1939. After 11 years of Schooling and one year of College, Mr. Kazi moved to Mumbai to pursue further studies. He did his Graduation in Electrical Engineering from V.J.T I., Mumbai in 1959 with flying colors and a Gold Medal.
Mr. Kazi worked with Larsen & Toubro Limited in its Switchgear Division for nearly 15, Years. His last job at L&T was as Sales Manager, Switchgear Section, Mumbai Region, covering the States of Maharashtra, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, and Goa.
In 1975, Mr. Kazi established his own Panel Building Unit in Mumbai followed by another at Surat in 1981. After running both the Units successfully and establishing a fair name in Panel Building Industry, particularly in the Sugar Industry, Mr. Kazi completely retired from Business, at the ripe age of 65, on 31st March 2004. That was to give the benefit from his knowledge and experience to the Society from which he had received a lot.
Mr. Kazi was actively associated with the Electrical Contractor’ Association of Maharashtra (with almost 2,500 Members), as one of its Directors and also as its Vice-President.
Mr. Kazi was an active member of the Rotary Club of Mumbai Midwest from 1983 to 1996 and its president in the year 1985-86. Mr. Kazi is an active Member of the Mg. Committee of VJTI Alumni Association (over 3000 Life Members) and its Chairman from 2007 to 2010.
Mr. Kazi and his friends support 53 Tribal Schools with 2481 Students in Khalapur Taluka, Raigadh District, (Near Karjat), Maharashtra.It was in the Year 1988, Mr. Kazi along with three other Control Panel Builders viz. Late Mr. Asim Mazumdar, Mr. Kamlakar Phadke, and Mr. Navinbha Shah established COSMA. Mr. Kazi has nurtured COSMA for the last 32 years and brought it to the PAN India level today with over 300 Life Members. Currently, Mr. Kazi is the Chairman Emeritus of COSMA and guides the Institution for its all-round growth.
